In the municipality of Dogliani, at Borgata \nMartina, the vines grow at about 500 mts a.s.l.on \nthe south facing side of a hill. This hill is characterized \nby whitish marls alternating with compact sandstones \n("stone of Langa") which originated on a terrain at \nthe end of the confluence between the Lequio Formation \n(typical of Serralunga d'Alba) and the Murazzano \nFormation. The soil is poor, not very deep, drought-prone \nin summer, but perfect to give character and minerality \nto the wine. \n \nHarvest, cold decanting \nand alcoholic fermentation at the end of September, \n8 months"sur lie" in thermo-controlled steel tanks. \n \nThe colour is straw yellow \nwith greenish highlights. The nose, when young, \nhas delicate notes of white flowers and citrus along \nwith vegetal scents. On the palate, the well balanced \nacidity - the main characteristics of this grape - gives \ngreat freshness and a final sapidity.
