Wine aged 12 months in 25-hectolitre non-roasted Allier barrels; the color is very intense ruby red; the aromas vary from fruit to spices, plum and cherry, licorice, vanilla and cocoa; on the palate it is fat and velvety, with great flesh and persistence (sweet tannins).
It comes from Corradini vineyards (in the municipality of Farigliano) over 40 years old facing west and placed on a tuff rock overlooking the Tanaro river. The microclimate thus created gives our Dozzetti finesse and longevity.
Wine with Controlled and Guaranteed Designation of Origin from the 2005 harvest.
The term Dozzetti derives from the vulgar “dolcetto”. there are documents that testify the cultivation of this vine on our hills since the 17th century.
Excellent with chickpea and tripe soup, red meats, cheeses of all kinds.
