*Aurora is our elder daughter; it was her, at the age of 5 and half years, to paint the label for the wine which was named after her.
VINEYARD: Vineyards on hills, in the boroughs of Barbaresco, Treiso and Neive.
WAY OF PRODUCTION: The Barbera and Nebbiolo grapes are picked up when they are perfectly ripe, i.e. in different times: this is why the two wines are made separately. After a careful selection of the grape clusters, they are crushed and de-stemmed on the same day of the harvest; then the maceration on the skins lasts 8-10 days. After the draining off and a decanting, the two wines are kept in oak barrels -the Barbera in barriques, the Nebbiolointonneaux- for 8-10
months. After the blending in a bigger oak barrel and some months for the second ageing in wood, the Aurora is bottled aged in the bottles minimum six months before selling.
FEATURES: Intense rubin-red coloured wine with light purple tones. It is has fruity and rich scent, nicely mixed with light woody tones. This wine is characterized by an important body and a good acidity.
JOININGS: Dry soups and white meats; also to be served with hand-made egg- pasta.
