Description from winemaker at San Ferdinando: "Historically Ciliegiolo grape is blended with Sangiovese in order to produce Chianti. We decided to vinify Ciliegiolo in stainless steel tanks in order to preserve the spicy notes and fresh sensation. Ruby red color, violet reflections. On the nose spice notes of red and green pepper, small red fruits gradually come out. On the palate boasts of glossy tannins and lively crips acidity. Medium and balanced ending"
How the wine is made: "Grapes are manually picked and sorted by a selection table. After destemming and öight chrushing grapes are vinified in stainless steel tanks for 10-12 days at controlled temprature. Maceration, fermentation and maturation takes place in stainless steel."
